Happy Birthday, Lou! I hope this year brings many blessings.
The days started off slow. First of all, I woke up at 7:46 and wanted so much to sleep in. But we always go to church on Sunday. I looked outside and it looked every cold and there was snow on the ground. I woke the kids up and they were resistant too. Finally we all rose and shined ourselves up for church.
Pastor Rodney talked about the new R12 series that is starting. It is about spirituality. The true definition of spirituality defined by Jesus is: Love God, love your neighbors and love yourself. Those of you who have a relationship with our Lord know the love I am speaking of.
After church we headed to Friendly's for lunch. We had our favorite server, Gwen. She always brings our food fast and treats us so well.
After lunch, we headed to WalMart to get a gift for Jenson. It was his 8th birthday party today at the CVCO building. We decided on a gift card since we know he has a lot of things and didn't want to duplicate. I know my kids love to spend money they get for holidays and birthdays. That way they can get whatever they want.
We headed to the party where Corey had a great time playing with all the boys. Olivia and I had fun chatting with the other moms. After the party, it was home to say goodbye to Daddy before he went to work and before we headed back to church.
The R12 series started tonight and there were about 35 people in our group. It was a good study and I look forward to learning more over the next five weeks. The people there were so open and willing to share which made the study even more exciting.
I accomplished something that has taken a long time to finish, mainly because I had gotten bored with it and basically put it aside. This weekend, I decided to finish it up and boy does it look fantastic. I crocheted an American flag afghan for my friend Christy who has an Americana room in her house. I can't wait to give it to her. It is going to look so good. Take a look below. I am very happy with the way it turned out.
