January 1 - Happy New Year!!

The new year arrived pretty quietly for us.  We hung out at home and watched Snooky (from Jersey Shore) drop in the ball and then quickly returned to Times Square to watch everyone on the kissing cam.  We snacked on cheese, pepperoni, veggies and chips.  Corey enjoyed sparkling grape juice while Olivia drank grape soda.  I enjoyed  a Margarita and at about 12:15 after answering some text messages from some friends, I headed to bed.

We all slept in later than normal since we really had nothing planned for the day.  We watched the Rose Bowl Parade and then had some leftovers for lunch.  Corey and I decided to go for a walk around Lake Irene at Community Park.  The lake looked beautiful all frozen over with the sun shining up above. 

After taking a walk around the lake, we threw some rocks to see how thick the ice was.  We determined that it must have been pretty frozen since none of our rocks caused a break-through.  It got a little cold so we decided to head home.  It was nice to spend time with just Corey.  That hardly happens.
