January 5 - Women's Meeting at Church

Oh Happy Day!  It was a busy day at work with month-end close and trying to get everything done on time but the highlight was going to the Women's meeting tonight.  My friend, Nadjeda Reilly, gave her testimony of the power of our Lord, Jesus Christ and how he lead her through such trials in her life.  He guided her to write a cookbook which had been a desire of hers for a very long time.  The story was amazing and I see a lot of similarities in her journey that I have experienced myself.  Our Lord is so faithful and patient with us.

Nadejda treated us to some of the sweet treats from her book and they are amazing.  I just love her!

On the downside of the day, Corey woke up sick this morning with a fever and stomach flu.  He so rarely gets sick that I think he didn't know how to act.  He stayed home from school and rested all day.  Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

Poor little guy.  He was still lovable even though he didn't feel good.

One last highlight of today was the view as I left work.  The moon looked so beautiful amidst the clouds and the sunset.  I just had to pull over and take a picture.  Here it is.
