I woke up this morning to several inches of snow. I love to look at snow when it has just fallen before the cars and people make it all dirty. Within about 15 minutes of being awake, the text came in about the 2 hour school delay. I like school delay days because I get the bathroom all to myself!
The drive to work was a little scary. It was only 18 degrees so the slush was very icy and the car kept sliding all over the place. I wanted to stop at Buddy's Bagels for a breakfast bagel and when I tried to turn into the parking lot, my car had a different idea. I skid right past the entrance and decided it wasn't meant to be.
Cars on the interstate were moving slow at about 40 mph. The ride seemed eternal. Once I got off the interstate, I saw my homeless friend so I stopped to see if he was doing OK. I hadn't seen him since before Christmas. He was very dirty and showed wear from the weather. He is such a sweet man and it breaks my heart when I see him just standing outside. We conversed for a few minutes and I prayed with him for provision, and then off to work I went.
Work went pretty quick today since I had so much to do with it being quarter-end close and having to do revenue recognition testing. It took about 2 days to finish just to determine we only have to defer $13,000 in sales....UGH!!!
After work, I drove home and enjoyed seeing all the snow on the trees. The temperature dropped back down to 18 degrees so the roads were a little slick tonight too. Once I got home, I took this picture of the neighborhood.
We are expecting a little more snow tonight. Maybe we can head out snow tubing tomorrow. I think I will go and check that out. Sounds fun, doesn't it??!!!
