Back to work day....

Well, it was back to work today after a lazy mid-week New Year's Day.  Being an accountant, the beginning of every month is busy, but the beginning of the month at quarter end is really busy.  I spent the day gathering sales data and getting ready to determine how well the company did for the month of December.  As fun as that sounds, I couldn't wait for the day to be over.  The anticipated BIG snow had me excited.  For some reason, I always look forward to snow storms that call for 6 or more inches.  I love to just watch the snow flakes fall and cover the earth.  It is most beautiful at sunrise before anyone has shoveled.  The only signs of life are usually the animal tracks.

Tonight's storm isn't disappointing us.  It is beautiful outside.  The snow is steadily falling.  There isn't much movement outside aside from a snow plow here and there.  The house is chilly but the covers are so snugly.  I'm looking forward to seeing the mounds of snow in the morning.  Corey is dreaming of a snow day as we speak.  He is so funny when it snows.  He asks if school is cancelled about every 25 minutes.  Usually because he hasn't done or doesn't want to do his homework.

Not much else to report today but I wanted to let you know about the five things I am thankful for today.

6.  I am thankful for the beautiful snowfall.

7.  I am thankful that Olivia is safely home from work.

8.  I am thankful that tomorrow is Friday and the weekend is wide open.

9.  I am thankful that I am healthy

10.  I am thankful to have a compassionate heart for homeless people.

Until tomorrow, be thankful and make this world your oyster.
