My birthday started off really early. The family was supposed to leave for Indiana at 3AM but Jack was a bit leery about going since snow was expected from home all the way to Indianapolis. After watching The Weather Channel and deliberating for 45 minutes, they decided not to go and we all went back to sleep.
When 7AM rolled around and I was getting ready for work, I hear Jack having a conversation with Corey about school. Seems Corey didn't want to go to school and Jack insisted that he should. In the next minute, Olivia comes to my room and asks if she needs to go to school. I concurred with Jack and said yes! She began to give me the song and dance about how tired she was. I explained that I still had to go to work and I was tired. Then the tears began. She says, "I feel so dumb." I say, "Why?" She didn't do her math homework (which I told her to do) and wasn't ready for school. She ended up staying home.
I went to work and was greeted numerous times by my co-workers and my Facebook friends followed suit all day long. Ms. Becky made me the most delicious peanut butter cheesecake as a treat. YUMMY! I just love her. I decided that we would eat it after lunch.
Friday evening, Becky had organized Girls' Night Out! We were going to Cork for dinner, Becky, Nicole, Laura, Wendy, Joyce and me. We had a blast. I haven't seen Joyce or Nicole in a long time. The food was fantastic; the conversation was comfortable, and basically it couldn't have been better. Oh, wait! The only thing that could have made it better would have been if Andrea had been able to be there. =^) We closed down the dining room having girl time. Thanks, Guys!.
